Sceptre Secures Commanding Victory Over Intellect

Sceptre delivered a clinical performance to outclass Intellect by 64 runs in a thrilling encounter of the Empower Super League 2. Burair Ali stole the spotlight with a breathtaking century and a disciplined bowling display, solidifying Sceptre’s dominance in the match.

Sceptre’s Power-Packed Innings

Electing to bat first, Sceptre capitalized on a solid start, thanks to a sensational knock by Burair Ali. The opener smashed 128 runs off 77 balls, lacing his innings with 18 boundaries and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 166.23.

While Burair stole the limelight, Amman Sajid also played a scintillating cameo, scoring a blistering 45 off just 15 balls, featuring 3 fours and 5 sixes, striking at an incredible 300.00. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Sceptre managed to post a competitive total of 213/6.

Intellect’s Struggle in the Chase

Chasing 214, Intellect never got the momentum they needed. The early dismissals of Sufyan Fateh and Ahsan within the first two overs set the tone for Sceptre’s dominance.

Hadi Ibrahim fought valiantly with a composed 66 off 58 balls, hitting 6 fours and 1 six, but lacked support from the other end. Mahad Asif contributed a quick-fire 18 off 12, but Sceptre’s disciplined bowling ensured Intellect fell short, finishing at 149/7 in 20 overs.

Burair Ali was the star with the ball as well, claiming 3 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs, supported by Zaid Sajjad and Haroon Faraz, who picked up a wicket each.
